Exploring A Quarter of a Century at Glenwood Caverns Adventure Park

Glenwood Springs, home to America’s only mountaintop theme park, is marking a major milestone in 2024 as Glenwood Caverns Adventure Park celebrates its 25th anniversary. Since opening in 1999, the park has become a peak experience destination for natural wonders and high-flying adventures drawing visitors from around the globe to its unparalleled blend of underground beauty and adrenaline-pumping rides.

The Journey from Dream to Reality

Their initial journey began in 1980 when Steve’s curiosity led him to explore the Fairy Caves. After nearly 20 years of negotiations and hard work, the couple ultimately acquired and reopened the caves after nearly a century of closure. It was a labor of love and dedication, culminating in a new beginning not only for the couple but also for the community of Glenwood Springs.

Partying Like It’s 1999

Guests are encouraged to embrace the spirit of the occasion and the fashion sense of the artist by donning shades of purple, Prince’s signature color. In addition to the musical entertainment, partygoers will enjoy special perks, including $10 throwback-priced gondola rides after 4 p.m. and swag bags filled with an assortment of goodies.
