Where To See A Movie Near Glenwood Springs

From independent theaters to multiplex cinemas, watch the latest films at venues close to Glenwood Springs.

“Where can I go to see a movie when I’m visiting Glenwood Springs?” It’s one of the most frequently asked questions at the Glenwood Springs Visitors Center. That’s because while the hot springs town has plenty of nightlife, including a piano bar, dance clubs and the highly acclaimed Glenwood Vaudeville Revue, it doesn’t have a single movie theater. But if you had your heart set on seeing the hottest new action-packed blockbuster or artsy indie film, there are three nearby theaters that are just minutes away.

Brendan Rifle 7.  Located at 250 W. Second St. in Rifle, this theater features all the most current movies. State-of-the-art movie viewing includes stadium seating in all theaters, internet ticketing and express concession stands. The company is owned by philanthropist, founder, president and CEO John Brenden whose grandfather Ted Mann built and ran the Mann Theaters chain.

Crystal Theatre. Located at 427 Main Street in Carbondale, the Crystal Theatre is a favorite with locals who cue up outside to buy show tickets. The single-screen, 125-seat, independent movie theatre is housed in the historic Dinkel building. Showing a mix of art and commercial movies, the boutique theater is open year-round, seven nights per week.

Bowtie Cinemas Movieland 7. Located at 218 E. Valley Road #300 in Carbondale, visitors can view Hollywood’s new releases in this seven-cinema multiplex, where several theaters have stadium seating. Every week Movieland hosts Super Tuesdays, a night where all regular-priced movies are six bucks for everyone from kids to grown-ups and tubs of popcorn are just $5!
