Hard work pays off when riders reach the pinnacle of Windy Point on the Flat Tops. Sheer cliffs drop straight down, but there are plenty of places to sit back and take in the views.
Although outdoor enthusiasts can enjoy this trail from the Glenwood access point, near the Oasis Creek subdivision, it is best enjoyed over the course of a day traversing the Flat Tops beginning at the Coffee Pot Road near Sweetwater, just east of Glenwood Canyon. Ride dirt bikes, ATVs or mountain bikes across the rolling hills of the Flat Tops before making the steep descent into Glenwood Springs past Windy Point. The views at Windy Point are breathtaking, but steep drop offs can be a danger for children and pets, so keep a close eye them.
