Golden Rules of Stand Up Paddle Boarding
  • Always plant the paddle blade in the water before taking a stroke. Doing this will give boarders more power and stability.
  • Assume the ready position, that is, feet shoulder-width apart, knees bent and back straight.
  • Keep arms straight and engage core muscles when paddling.
  • Attempt to keep the board as “quiet” as possible in the water. If the board is slapping the water readjust feet and leg positions.

Explore all the things to do in Glenwood Springs; there is something for everyone and a new adventure to be had every day.
