Glenwood Springs is located in the heart of Colorado’s magnificent Rocky Mountains, between Aspen and Vail. Situated in the Roaring Fork Valley at the confluence of two rivers, the Colorado and Roaring Fork, Glenwood Springs is the hot spot where world-famous hot springs meet year-round outdoor adventures.

The Glenwood Springs Visitor Center is located at 802 Grand Avenue in downtown Glenwood Springs where it shares lobby space with the Colorado Mountain College administrative offices. The Visitor Center is open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday and 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday.

May through September, weekday hours are from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Saturday and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Driving: Glenwood Springs is a scenic three‑hour drive 160 miles (257 kilometers) west of Denver on Interstate 70. It is a 1.5 hour drive 90 miles (145 kilometers) east of Grand Junction.

Rail: Amtrak’s California Zephyr travels the spectacular rail route from Chicago to San Francisco with daily stops in Glenwood Springs.

Flying: Glenwood Springs is served by four airports. Eagle/Vail – 30 miles (48 kilometers) east, Aspen –  40 miles (64 kilometers) south, Grand Junction – 90 miles (145 kilometers) west, and Denver International Airport – 180 miles (290 kilometers) east.

Bus: Bustang is an Interregional Express Bus service operated by the Colorado Department of Transportation. Bustang connects travelers to and from Denver or Grand Junction and Glenwood Springs via the West Line.
