Here’s what to expect on your next paragliding Colorado adventure; experienced tandem pilots will navigate the air currents above Glenwood Springs gradually descending with a smooth landing. There is no experience required and guests only have to be fit enough to jog a few steps from the launch pad until becoming airborne.

Visitors paraglide in tandem with professional U.S. Hang Gliding and Paragliding Certified Instructors. Before a flight, the pilot will fit equipment and provide instruction; once in the air he or she will navigate the paraglider and guide guests to a landing field below. With paragliding, there is no free-falling or jumping off of cliffs. Even a fear of heights is rarely a factor since there is no sensation of falling. The launches and landings are slow and gentle. Once in the air, most people are surprised by the serenity of the experience.

Depending on conditions, flights last from 10 – 30 minutes. Glenwood Springs’ paragliding outfitters typically offer up to five flight times per day.
